If you sell drugs to someone and they overdose from those drugs and die, you can be charged with murder in the state of Florida. There’s a new trend throughout jurisdictions in the state of Florida where they’re trying to pursue murder charges against drug dealers where the people that they sell drugs to overdose and die, so you certainly can be prosecuted for murder if an overdose does occur. It’s an extremely difficult case for them to prove, for the prosecutor to prove, but it does happen and it has happened in the state of Florida.
